This high-performance subplatter has been specifically designed for RP6 with TTPSU and the 2017 Planar 6 REGA turntables turntable. We also manufacture other high-performance subplatters for other turntables, including Rega (RP3,... etc.).
The precision assembly of this subplatter integrates ideal components into a single subplatter design which is not available anywhere else and polished aircraft-grade aluminum hub (6061-T6 grade aluminum) with low carbon stainless steel extended spindle (316L stainless steel) in addition to dual silicone belts in order to grip the platter and isolate it from vibrations.
The use of this single precision assembly subplatter will enhance the already excellent performance of your Rega RP6 in several areas:
SPEED ACCURACY AND STABILITY
The diameter of the polished aircraft-grade aluminum hub has tighter tolerances than the Rega injection-molded plastic hub (the bottom part of the two-piece original subplatter). Having a low tolerance subplatter circumference enables both a better speed accuracy and stability.
The design of this part allows other upgrades. Dual pulley and double silicone belts can be fitted with this subplatter, which enhances speed stability even more for better dynamics (this cannot be done with the plastic Rega subplatter).
Note: we also supply dual pulleys and belts to enable this
PLATTER PROTECTION
The dual silicone rings grips and protects the platter (no metal-to-glass or metal-to-plastic contact if you use a different platter) against scratches or wear).
LOWER NOISE FLOOR
The silicone rings isolate the platter from unwanted bearing vibrations, hence lowering the noise floor.
Hardened steel shaft and matching precision ball bearing lower the noise floor and will not wear after 8,000 hours of use (a lifetime!).
RECORD CLAMP
The extended low carbon high tensile steel shaft enables a wide range of record clamps and stabilizers to be used, further enhancing the sound quality.
High Precision tolerances are applied during the manufacture of this subplatter to ensure a low coefficient of friction).

TRIPLE 33 1/3 BRASS PULLEY:
Building on the core design principles of the top-of-the-range Rega NAIAD turntable, we have designed, tested and implemented a triple pulley for REGA RP6 with TTPSU and 2017 Planar 6 turntables.
Note: Due to IATA regulations, oils cannot be included in international parcels, so for TNG-Spinner products lubrication we recommend semisynthetic SAE15W50 or similar oils.
