Our customers "Tangospinning" all around the world... (FIRST UPDATE) Dear Gus, Friday evening I took my time to install the Tangospinner subplatter and dual pulley on my Rega RP1, which was – as you said – very easy: The Rega pulley came off under some hot air from a hair dryer and the installation backed up by your instruction sheet only took a few minutes. Since then I listened to all kinds of music over the past weekend. And what can I say: It has been a huge, huge step forward regarding the quality of sound! And I really mean huge! I find it kind of hard to describe sonic effects (even in my mother tongue), but my impression is, that the whole sound stage is much more calm and settled with the new setup. High female voices (sopranos especially), that had the tendency to "flatter" around, now "stand" firmly and defined in the sound stage. Bass is as well deeper as more defined. Some records, that suffered from some harsh trebles and tendencies to sibilance (especially recordings from the 80s), sound much more pleasant to my ears. Separation of instruments and their localization within the sound stage changed significantly. And what is a big benefit for me as a passionate "opera aficionado": The deeper male voices (baritone and bass) sound "right" for the first time! Over all a brilliant invest to my RP1! Thank you very much for offering such great upgrades! (SECOND UPDATE) After some more days of listening to the new set up I can say that the Tangospinner subplatter with dual pulley was the best invest I have made regarding my Rega RP1 so far. Overall it was the second best invest in my vinyl passion, directly behind an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine (which was much more expensive… ;-)) ). And believe me, I have spent some money on high fidelity products until this point in my life… ;-))
